The amplía))) Innovation team is moving forward in the final stretch of year 3 of the SecBluRed project, developing key prototypes and solutions for cybersecurity in Industrial IoT (IIoT). From identity and traceability mechanisms to advanced anomaly detection, we continue collaborating with the consortium to enhance security in industrial environments.
SecBluRed moves forward: Entering the final stretch of year 3
At SecBluRed, we continue to move forward with determination, reaching key milestones in our mission to strengthen cybersecurity in Industrial IoT (IIoT). We are now in the final stretch of year 3, a crucial moment where we are building the prototypes that will allow us to conduct experimentation in the final phase of the project, year 4.
Where are we now?
During this year, we have worked on several key areas to enhance cybersecurity in industrial environments:
-
Identity and traceability mechanisms: We have designed and implemented innovative solutions for identity management in IIoT devices using IoTA. Additionally, we have compared the performance of two DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) solutions for traceability: Hedera and Hyperledger Fabric.
-
Secure device deployment mechanisms: We have developed strategies to ensure a secure and reliable deployment of devices within the network, minimizing vulnerability risks from the initial phase.
-
UEBA module for anomaly detection in RADIUS network traffic: We have worked on implementing a User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) system to detect suspicious activities in RADIUS-based network traffic.
-
Dashboards on OpenGate for cybersecurity monitoring: We have designed and developed advanced dashboards in OpenGate, making it easier to visualize and manage security events in real time.
-
Collaboration with the consortium: Additionally, we have closely worked with the other companies in the consortium, integrating OpenGate as a central platform to visualize the results of their experiments and ensure unified security management in IIoT.
What’s coming in year 4?
In the final year of the project, the prototypes will undergo intensive testing to demonstrate their effectiveness in real-world conditions. This phase will mark the consolidation of SecBluRed as an innovative solution to improve security in Industry 4.0.
Our commitment remains strong: we continue researching, developing, and validating technologies to make IIoT a safer and more resilient environment against future cyber threats.
Thank you to everyone who is part of this journey! We move forward with more strength than ever.
